Maiken Wiese, MS, RDN, CDNNutrition Counselor and Business Owner
(virtual and in person in Williamsburg, BK) able to provide nutrition therapy to clients located in New York, Connecticut and California Maiken Wiese is experienced and trained in medical nutrition therapy for several health concerns and specializes in nutrition counseling for eating disorder recovery in teens and adults. She is also adept at helping individuals without eating disorders move away from a dieting mentality into a more intuitive approach to food. She is passionate about providing accountability to motivate her clients as they gradually build a better relationship with food and their bodies. Maiken has worked at various eating disorder treatment facilities, both in the inpatient setting and outpatient setting. She enjoys helping people laugh, honor their achievements and problem solve when the plan isn't working. She completed her Masters of Science in Nutrition at Hunter College and has worked in the day, evening and outpatient programs at The Renfrew Center of New York, BALANCE eating disorder clinic and as the East Coast Director of Nutrition for Eating Disorder Recovery Specialists. |
Danielle Sommers, MS, RDN, CDNNutrition Counselor
(virtual) able to provide virtual nutrition therapy to clients located in New York and California Danielle hails from Boston, Massachusetts, where she worked with both adults and adolescents as the Registered Dietitian at Walden Behavioral Care’s PHP and IOP Programs. Danielle is well versed in the complexities of food, science, and mental health. She knows that the road of recovery is as unique as the individual. She takes a straightforward and honest approach, meeting her clients where they are and helping them to take steps forward with practical tools and words of encouragement every step of the way. Danielle is dedicated to the recovery of her clients and helping them foster healing relationships with food and their bodies. Danielle is passionate about eating disorder recovery: when not meeting with clients you may find her writing blog posts or delivering presentations. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Biology, Health, and Society from Cornell University and completed her Dietetic Internship with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition at the University at Buffalo. |
Nicole Ramirez, MS, RDN, CDNNutrition Counselor
(virtual) able to provide virtual nutrition therapy to clients located in New York and California Nicole is a Registered Dietitian who received her master’s in nutrition sciences from Hunter College of NY and completed her internship with Montclair State University where she gained experience in many areas of nutrition such as hospitals, clinics and community settings. Nicole originally wanted to pursue a career in Environmental Science. After falling victim to diet culture herself, she knew it was her mission to help others break away from it by helping them create a healthy, balanced life with nutrition and movement. Nicole is passionate about creating a safe and open space for clients to explore their relationship with food, body image and overall health & well-being. She utilizes weight-inclusive nutrition, Health at Every Size and Intuitive eating approaches while creating individualized plans to help meet each of her clients’ needs. In her free time, Nicole enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with her husband and little shih poo Mellie. |
